Announcing our Newest Grandchild

It's a GIRL! Charlotte Dianne arrived on March 28, 2011 in Grande Prairie Alberta, welcomed with love by Jonathan, Miranda and Julia, as well as all her family in the East. We haven't met her in person yet, but we love her already! Here some photos.

Kevin and I were still in Florida when the phone call came from Jon telling us their little girl had arrived. We had finished our morning walk on the beach and were sitting under an awning near the pool when we got the news. We were thrilled to know she was here and all was well. When Jonathan told us they were calling her Charlotte, we assumed that they had chosen that name because it was her great-great-great-grandmother's name. Charlotte Golding was Byron's grandmother, and she was always called Ommie. Jonathan had never met her, and he had no idea that Ommie's name was really Charlotte! Of course I am delighted with her middle name, Dianne! Now we have five grandchildren, and each one is as precious as the first!

We plan to go to visit Miss Charlotte and her family in May, and are so excited to meet her!

This is her obviously very excited Big Sister Julia, who will soon be three.

Here is the newly-arrived Charlotte who doesn't seem very happy, but she certainly looks strong and healthy!
