Yoho Living

It's turning out to be a beautiful day at Yoho Lake! We moved to our little home at the lake last Tuesday, so now we know that summer has arrived. The weather last week was exceptionally hot - temperatures in the low thirties - but it cooled off comfortably over the weekend.

This was taken on Saturday, when Kevin took a break from power washing and staining the deck. It turned out beautifully, and we didn't realize how much it was needed.

This picture shows the wood before and after being cleaned. Amazing!

We took part in a lot of the Canada Day festivities in Tracy. First was the parade, then cake and entertainment at the Rec Centre, then back to the Rec Centre for a delicious supper. We watched the fantastic fireworks from our driveway this year, and had quite a good view. Here is Maeve with her Mummy and Papa at the parade. She kept her hands over her ears the entire time, but when it was over she agreed it was a great parade!

When we had been playing in the lake for quite a while the other day, I said "I think I'll get out now. Maeve said "I think you'll stay in." So I did!
