I love being a Mum and a Gramma! Relationships with loved ones are what give life meaning, especially the relationship I have with the One who gives me life! I appreciate all the beauty of nature, I love travelling to see new places, I enjoy photography, cooking, having company and cottage living in the summer. My favourite social event is a games night with family and friends.

Baby Julia

Yes, Baby Julia and her mother have been visiting their New brunswick relatives for the past week! What a joy it was to be able to hug them both again, even though the visit seemed to fly by. They arrived in Fredericton late at night on the fifth and we said our good-byes at the airport yesterday at noon. It was really hard not to shed some tears as they left - it is harder when we don't know when we will be with them again. I think Julia's Daddy is very happy to have his girls back home with him. Thanks Jonathan for sharing them with us!

Miranda and Julia stayed with her parents in Rusagonis, but while they were here we had some nice family gatherings so everyone could have a chance to see them. One day Jennifer and Maeve had some of the Phillips family to their house for lunch. Maeve certainly enjoyed Auntie Miranda and Baby Julia!

We drove to Tracy to visit Aunt Amy at the chalet. Miranda has lots of memories of that place, as we all do. It is so nice to have people living there again, and with all kinds of new memories being made. On Friday, Julia had her first visit to Gramma and Grampa's house. I was keeping Maeve that day, and we all enjoyed our day together. Julia had fun in the jumper that's in the shape of a duck. It was a toy that Maeve enjoyed at that age too.

I was the speaker in church on Sunday morning, and it was so nice to have Amy, Miranda and Julia in the congregation. Julia didn't even try to drown me out! She was very good, and of course got lots of attention. That evening we had a pot luck dinner at our house for all the relatives. About 20 people came and we had a lovely time together. Here is Julia with her two great-grandmothers.

One of Miranda's favourite places to eat in Fredericton is Cora's, so Kevin and I took Grammie Carol, Miranda and Julia there one day for one of their beautiful breakfasts.

Julia was a great little traveller, happy to snuggle with Mummy on the airplane, so thankfully it was a good experience for both of them. They are safely back home now, with their husband and Daddy, but too far away from people who love them so much!

Lovely! Thanks for sharing the pictures! We'll be in NB at Christmas, so hopefully we'll get to see Jen, Rich and Maeve in person and maybe even you guys, too. :)
