Twelve Days of Christmas
Here we are on the seventh day of January, 2009! That means that the Feast of the Epiphany is past and the twelve days of Christmas are over - and that is why my tree and decorations have stayed up until today. It is always a bit sad for me to pack away all the trimmings for another year. I think it's because Christmas is such a special time for me, with so many happy memories linked to our celebrations with family and friends - and this year was wonderful as well. As I have said before, I love to have my home filled with people who are enjoying food and fun! Well, there have been several of those occasions over the past couple of weeks. The first was our Christmas Day breakfast, attended by three Woollins and two Fowlers.
We opened gifts from one another and of course Kevin had to take a picture of 'kids on the stairs', even though none of them actually stayed over night on Christmas Eve. (That is the first time for that) In fact, I put together a little album for Kevin of photos of our kids on Christmas morning. There is one for every year since 1977 and most of them are taken on our stairs. He always made them wait there together before coming downstairs to see their surprises.
