Bird Sightings

A bluebird has been seen checking out the neighbourhood! I'm not sure what his assessment was though, so we'll have to wait and see. One of the bluebird boxes had been claimed earlier by rail swallows, but the other one had remained empty. On Friday, this little guy was looking around for a place to build his nest. Hopefully he'll bring his mate along for an inspection and she will approve of it.

Another unusual bird hanging around our property is this strange one - a wild turkey! I know this picture is fuzzy, but I took it from the kitchen and he is down on the lower field. That's where we see him daily, and we are wondering where he came from.

Here's another recent sighting - a pair of lovebirds! This is Jen and Rich going on a date to celebrate their seventh anniversary. I can't believe it is already seven years since their beautiful wedding. That was a day filled with special memories for all of us! Love and Congratulations to both of them.

So far we have only seen one - maybe a mate will turn up some time!
