It was a misty morning when Kevin took these, which really adds to the scene, I think.
Here is the kitchen table, set for dinner on Thanksgiving Sunday.
And here are the people, family and friends, who gathered to feast and give thanks. You see Gordon from England, who spent a couple of weeks with us, and Matt and Amanda, friends we met through Rudi and Amy.

There were two tables in the dining room. Altogether there were sixteen of us for the meal.
The next day we had our annual trek to Dad's camp in "The Meadow" for turkey and the fixings prepared by Mum and Dad on the old wood stove. For this excursion, we leave civilization behind, and turn back time for a few hours. I definitely prefer to work my kitchen with all its conveniences, but it is fun to make this yearly expedition. This picture shows why we have to go by truck (and not Kevin's brand new GMC, either!)
Here we are arriving at the camp after a short journey on foot, after parking the trucks.
Before leaving, we always get the crowd together for a picture in front of the camp. For this meal, too, there were sixteen people.
As you can see, our daughters are "full of life", and next year there will be two little ones along for their first Thanksgiving at Grampie Cecil's camp!
