Maeve and the Birthday Girl

I remember the day my sister was born. It was a few months before I turned five, and I was playing outdoors in the snow. My Aunt Audrey and cousin Judith were living at our house to look after my brother and me while our mother was in the hospital to have the baby. We had no telephone at that time, so my grandmother who lived a short distance down the road from us shouted to me that I had a new baby sister, and when I finally understood what she was saying, I excitedly ran into the house to share the news. Well, some years have passed, and on Friday we celebrated Karen's 52nd birthday. Here are some pictures we took at the gathering.
