About Me

I love being a Mum and a Gramma! Relationships with loved ones are what give life meaning, especially the relationship I have with the One who gives me life! I appreciate all the beauty of nature, I love travelling to see new places, I enjoy photography, cooking, having company and cottage living in the summer. My favourite social event is a games night with family and friends.

Happy News

What do these two ladies have in common? Yes, they are both my daughters. Yes, they are both beautiful. And yes, they are both craving Popsicles and Slushies. That's because they are BOTH Mummies-to-be!!! We are all thrilled with their wonderful news. Jen's baby is expected in mid-November and Amy's in early January. Both of them are struggling with all-day sickness, but Jen is nearly back to normal, and Amy shouldn't have it too much longer. Kevin calls them his Pampered Pregnant Princesses - and he does pamper them! Maeve is excited about becoming a big sister. She's going to be a big help for her Mummy.

When Maeve was visiting me recently we did some gardening. Here she is digging in a flower box. When I told her we had plenty of holes for the pansies, she said, "But we need more holes for the dandelions." She was picking dandelions and sticking them in the holes she dug!

Here is a great picture of Great Grampie Byron and Grampa with their two little girls. Last week we were all at the chalet for an Italian evening. There was delicious Italian food prepared by Kathy and her girls, and a slide show of their recent trip to Italy. There was even Italian music, so if we used our imaginations a bit, it was as though we were all there too!
Julia brought her Mummy to NB to visit all her relatives before she turns one later this month. She seems to enjoy the airplane ride and is a very good traveller! It was very special to have them both here for Mother's Day and my birthday, when this picture was taken.

Next week Grampa Kevin and I are going to their house in Alberta! We will be there to help celebrate their fifth anniversary, Jonathan's birthday and of course Miss Julia's birthday.

So Mamma Di's treasures continue to increase!
