Yesterday was a great day at Busch Gardens, and by the end of the day, we really had seen it all. Here are Amy and I in the morning just inside the gates.
We enjoyed all the shows, especially one called "Castaway Critters" which starred all sorts of animals - cats, dogs, a llama, a kangaroo, pigs, parrots, a rooster and more - it was really cute, and the animals were amazing. I'm wondering if I could teach Sophie to do some of those tricks. Amy convinced her father to go on a few rides with her, but after the Kumba, he said he was done. I watched it going through its drops and corkscrews and thought, "People actually enjoy doing that?" Here is what the Kumba does to you.

You can see the car filled with people at the top, about to make its first drop. and in the next picture, everyone is completely upside down with their feet flying free. That's definitely not for me!
The weather was perfect, and we saw lots of animals. Here is a picture for those of you who think Meercats are cute. (They are, actually) This little guy is the sentinel, keeping watch while the others dig their tunnels.
I enjoyed seeing the beautiful landscaping and lovely flowers.

Kevin and Amy got wet on a couple of rides - here they sitting in a log on the Flume. Again, that's not for me! I probably could handle it, but I just don't enjoy the sensation of plunging down a water-filled trench!
We ended the day with supper at Cracker Barrel, a good old fashioned meal! So, that was Amy's last day here. We took her to the airport very early this morning, and she must be home by now - we're going to miss her! We had some walks on the beach, and some time in the pool, so she got to do a bit of everything on her "mini-vacation".

This picture was taken as we watched the sunset the other evening. You can see we've been in the sun!
