About Me

I love being a Mum and a Gramma! Relationships with loved ones are what give life meaning, especially the relationship I have with the One who gives me life! I appreciate all the beauty of nature, I love travelling to see new places, I enjoy photography, cooking, having company and cottage living in the summer. My favourite social event is a games night with family and friends.

Counting the Days

Five days from now my western children will be arriving, and things are nearly ready for them - Yay! Seven days from now, the photographer will be here taking pictures of the Bride, with less than an hour till she walks down the aisle! What an exciting time this is. Wedding details are all falling into place, and we all seem to be holding up quite well.
I had a bit of a melt-down earlier this week when I ran into trouble getting the music into the slide show, but Beth rescued me, and yesterday, at 4:15 pm, the presentation was totally completed. I was even able to make a copy of it on a CD, and will be making more for the parents of the groom and others. What a relief to have that behind me! Those who have seen a sneak preview have given it favourable reviews, thankfully!
We met with the event planner at Kingswood this week, and she is tremendous. She will set up everything, all we need to do is take the favours, centrepieces, etc., and she will take care of them. I mentioned that we had bought some ribbon that we hadn't found a use for, and she came up with an idea, and told me to leave it with her! I am so glad to know that all I have to do is give her the items and a list of what they are for, and then relax! Favours and centrepieces have been finished, and we just have to do the pew markers, then prepare for the family brunch on Saturday.
Wow, I can't believe that June is about to slip away, and it's time for another Canada Day parade and fireworks in Tracy. Those celebrations will be tomorrow, rather than on Sunday, the actual date of Canada Day. Happy Birthday Canada!
Maeve is with me today, as Jen has a job on Fridays. We've had fun, as always, but I must say I do enjoy her naptime! It gives me time to do things like write in my blog!
But I do have other jobs to do, so I must be on my way.

Hi Di:

Thank you for sharing this with me. I am a faithful reader!

My prayers and best wishes are for next friday! I can't wait to see the pictures! Wasn't Amy just on your floor in your family room, screaming blue murder at me because I wasn't her mother? Wow, time flies.

Tomorrow we return my momma to the airport. I will really miss her. I wish we could keep her but she says that we aren't in reality and she needs to mow her lawn and go to Amy's wedding!

Give my best to everyone.

Love,
Annemieke oxoxox
