I love being a Mum and a Gramma! Relationships with loved ones are what give life meaning, especially the relationship I have with the One who gives me life! I appreciate all the beauty of nature, I love travelling to see new places, I enjoy photography, cooking, having company and cottage living in the summer. My favourite social event is a games night with family and friends.

Four weeks From Now!

Yes, four weeks from now is the week of the wedding! Jon and Miranda will arrive that week, too, so what a time of celebrating that will be! I'm beginning to have butterflies in my tummy - a mixture of excitement and anxiety! I hope to conquer the anxiety and let this whole time be one of anticipation.
This was another extremely busy weekend. On Friday Kevin, Mum and I joined about eight thousand other people at Harbour Station in Saint John for the Gaithers Homecoming Concert. Mum watches the Gaithers on TV, but Kevin and I had no idea what to expect. It actually turned out to be a great experience. I am really glad we went. The music was terrific and the people were great - very funny too. We were surrounded by real fans who knew every word of every song they did! It lasted from 7 till 11 pm, so it was a solid evening of entertainment and worship.
I forgot to say that on Thursday we went to Saint John (Kevin had to go for work) and I bought my dress for the wedding - I love it! It is a pale periwinkle blue, with a satin beaded front and a jacket with satin and bead trim.
Friday and Saturday I spent preparing my talk for Sunday's service, since the layleaders were in charge. It went very well, I am amazed every time I am able to stand before a group and speak. It something I never expected to be able to do, but as I said in my talk, the Holy Spirit enables us to do what we could never do in our own strength!
After church Jen, Rich and Maeve took Kevin and I to the Crown Plaza (Beaverbrook Hotel) for their buffet. What a feast! It was for my birthday, which I just keep celebrating!
Kevin and I went to visit Ralph Brown at his home up past Mactaquac. He is very ill, we are really glad we spent that time with him. It was a beautiful afternoon as we sat on the verandah overlooking the water and talking with Ralph and Dorothy.
Mum had all the family for supper and, for dessert we had - Birthday Cake for me! We hadn't been able to get together before, so again it was a party for me. I'm glad we have excuses to get together, I sure don't see most of my family very often!
Saturday Amy and I ordered the wedding flowers - they are going to be beautiful, I know, everthing pink and white with a touch of sage green.
Sorry I don't have any weekend pictures; it went by so quickly, I didn't stop to photograph the events!
