A mother robin has her nest under the overhang at Jonathan and Miranda's front door. Yesterday the babies left the nest, and what a lot of commotion, with all the chirping and fluttering around, as the mother and father robins tried to keep those babies rounded up and fed! We had to be especially careful to keep Sam the cat from slippimg outdoors. He went from one window to another, keeping an eye on those birds! We saw one of the parents take a bug to one baby sitting on the fence, and last night, she put them to bed in a tree outside our window. Isn't nature amazing? You can see two of the babies in the tree in this picture. By the way, we took the picture at 11 o'clock last night. I can't get over how late the sun stays up here!
Baby Julia is doing wonderfully, and her parents are too. Papa and I do lots of cuddling, knowing that we won't be able to for much longer, as we have just a few more days with her. Here she is in the sling that Auntie Jennifer gave her.
This one was taken after her bath. See her looking at her Daddy?
Last evening was lovely and warm, with no wind, so we sat on the deck until the mosquitos came. Isn't this a lovely shot? I call it "Toesy Kisses".
