I love being a Mum and a Gramma! Relationships with loved ones are what give life meaning, especially the relationship I have with the One who gives me life! I appreciate all the beauty of nature, I love travelling to see new places, I enjoy photography, cooking, having company and cottage living in the summer. My favourite social event is a games night with family and friends.

Our New Grand-daughter Has Arrived!

First, a picture of the newest little member of our family, Julia Lynn Phillips:

She was born on May 24 in Grande Prairie Alberta and we are so happy to be visiting with her right now. Her Mummy and Daddy are both well and very happy. Here they are beside their apple tree, yesterday after church.

I mentioned before that I would be attending a women's conference in Sackville NB, and it was a great experience. There were women from all across Canada, and we had speakers from England, and lots of different workshops. Two that I especially enjoyed were about worship music, which was given by the organist at Christ Church Cathedral in Fredericton and one about personality types, each being represented by a different colour. It is fascinating to me that even though God has created all of us uniquely, in a way we all fit into particular categories. I discovered that my personality colour is blue, because I am concerned with details and schedules, I prefer to listen rather than talk and I am more about thinking than feeling. I found it really interesting! It was while I was at the conference that I heard that Baby Julia had arrived, and I was so thrilled I wanted to tell everyone I met, which actually goes against my "blue personality type", doesn't it?

On the 29th of May Amy received her degree from UNB and it was wonderful to attend the ceremony with family members and we are all so proud of Amy's accomplishment. Congratulations, Amy! We had a nice lunch at the Crown Plaza afterward.

That was also the day that Rudi and his crew put up the tower that is going to bring High-speed internet to our area and my internet frustrations will end - I can't wait. Great work, Rudi and friends! So now Kevin and I are in Alberta to see Baby Julia (and her parents, of course), and what a joy it is to hold a brand-new baby again. We are in love with her!Yeterday after church we went for lunch at the home of friends Gene and Karin and then they took us to a rodeo - now we know we are in Alberta! It was a lot of fun, and so neat to experience the whole "cowboy" atmosphere. Here are two cowboys from New Brunswick!
