It is so cold! After last week's temperatures hitting 30 degrees, and now having snow in the air, I am shivering and looking for my fleece jacket - to wear inside the house! Surely the lovely weather will return and I can shed some layers soon. I would have a fire in the stove, but we have used every stick of wood in our wood pile. I really don't want us to have to bring more in until next fall, but we'll see if we get desperate for a fire!
Today Jen's inlaws are returning to England. Rich has driven them to Halifax and they'll be leaving tonight. They enjoyed being with their Canadian family and we all were happy to spend time with them again. Last night the Nasons and Kevin and I went to Jen's for a goodbye supper. We all took some food and it was a great meal and a fun time together. We heard all the stories of the trip to Quebec, and then saw the pictures they took. What a beautiful city it is - I hope that Kevin and I can go there soon.
I am now working on a slide show of Amy and Rudi's lives so far, to show at the wedding reception. I enjoy doing it, and hope to get it finished in lots of time, so it's not a last minute job. So far I'm pleased with it.
When I began my blog, I didn't know there would be so many ordinary, everyday things to share with family and friends near and far. But now I realize, that, of course, most of the treasures in life are just that - simple and everyday. Putting them down "on paper" in cyberspace makes me pause and take stock of my many blessings!
